It was supposed to be a lecture on the history of the Cooksville Brickyard, the wide stretch of land at Mavis Rd. and Dundas St. where generations of Italian labourers churned out mud bricks and built the community of Cooksville.

CARTERET — The Carteret Public Library will host guest speaker Owen Ravino who will talk about the development and history of coins. The presentation is planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 at the library, 100 Cooke Ave., Carteret.
