Posted: 28 Oct 2010 05:14 PM PDT HISTORY is to be a compulsory subject. From 2013, you need to obtain a pass in History to obtain the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia certificate. Yes, we have to know our history so that we know where we come from and appreciate our evolution as a nation. |
Posted: 28 Oct 2010 05:14 PM PDT AS a tertiary student, I agree with the move by the Education Ministry to make History a compulsory subject. But there is a lack of interest in History among students. Students should wake up to the importance of the subject. |
History: Interactive lessons the way forward Posted: 28 Oct 2010 05:14 PM PDT THE learning of History must be made interesting and interactive. Perhaps we can learn from Singapore. Students doing Arts in secondary schools there, for instance, do not study History or Geography like our students. |
