The truth is its a tragedy because the Malay identity itself is destroyed. In the end, it will fail because its really Mahathirism that is winning here - a believed that sheer power, more important brute political and economic power (not competitive economics, just the brute one) can rewrite truth. Its sheer arrogance and assumptions to the donkey version. All these thing does is play spoiler ...

Our secondary school history syllabus needs some serious thought and reworking as it is very imbalanced.
