A different kind of history class for hundreds of students in Chesterfield County. The Civil War comes to class thanks to a visit from teachers from another time. It's a lesson these middle school students won't soon forget. It's a class that doesn't require a text book. Civil War living historians are breathing new life into this chapter of American History.

History Center Event Marks Sesquicentennial Commemoration Of Civil War

The Chattanooga History Center is providing an event to mark the beginning of the Sesquicentennial commemoration of the Civil War. "Divided Nation, Divided Families: Jefferson Davis, the Crutchfield Brothers and the Fight for Secession in Chattanooga" will be presented on Thursday, Jan. 20, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Hamilton Room at the Sheraton Read House.
